The mp-cv is a passive check valve. The valve prevents the medium from flowing back when the micropump is switched off. This is especially important in systems where there is a certain height difference between the individual parts.

This check valve is a passive valve. This means that it does not require electronics to be fully functional. In addition, the mp-cv is very small. Due to this, you can quickly and easily integrate this valve into a system. All you need is tubing with an inner diameter of 1/16 inch (≈1.6 mm). This is a common hose size used in many microfluidic systems.

The mp-cv check valve is made of polysulfone (PSU) and silicone, with a floating disk design that allows flow in one direction and reliably blocks it in the reverse. It has a typical opening pressure of < 0.002 bar. The maximum back pressure may be 0.68 bar (10 psi). At the same time, the mp-cv has a reverse leakage rate of only < 0.20 SCIM.
