This droplet generator chip comes from a collaboration with our partner microfluidic ChipShop. In microfluidics, droplet generation is an important but very complicated topic. The goal is to create droplets of a specific size depending on the application. We have partnered Microfluidic ChipShop before and created some application kits with their advanded chips and our pumps and electronics.

Try out the Droplet Generator Chip 163 with five inlets and five outlets, an input channel width of 140µm a collection channel width of 420µm and a uniform channel depth of 140µm.

Material compatibility: Please be aware of material compatibility when setting up your droplet generation experiment. When utilizing silicone-based oils we recommend the use of Topas chips, while mineral oils require chips made from PC. This Chip is made out of PC.

There are a number of possible applications for droplet generation. It can be used for single cell analysis and sorting. Additionally, high throughput screenings are also possible.
